The Complete Persepolis By: Marjane Satrapi

This book was fascinating. It is a memoir of a girl growing up in Iran during their revolution (think roughly) 1980s told in graphic novel form. It is one of the only graphic novels I have ever read and I seriously loved its format for this book. It was eye opening to read the first hand account of a female growing up in Iran. It also doubled as a great history book. I highly recommend this book. It was the June selection for "Our Shared Shelf" the book club started by Emma Watson to read and discuss women's issues around the world.
