The Book of Aron By: Jim Shepard

This was quite the book. It is told from the perspective of a Jewish child living in occupied Warsaw during World War II. It details the measures that were needed just to survive... and even then, many didn't. It is heartbreaking and unimaginable what families and individuals went through, but even more eye opening to see it from the perspective of a child. It is crazy to think that children have had to endure this suffering, but they have, and they do. War is terrorizing children across the world and putting them in disastrous situations. This book is an amazing look into the past, and also a excellent viewport for the present and future.
