Marley and Me By: John Grogan

This book made me cry. And not just normal crying, but ugly, tears streaming down my face crying. It touched my heart as an animal lover. I could relate to their dog experiences. Despite the tears, this book stole my heart. From the day they brought Marley home as a puppy until the family's last good-bye, I felt like Marley was my own lovable, naughty, lab. He actually was expelled from obedience school! How crazy is that? I loved watching the development and growth of John Grogan's family, while always loving and incorporating their handy and naught side kick. They had 1 miscarriage, 3 kids, 2 major moves, and a lot of adventures. They lived in Florida then moved to a farm in Pennsylvania. Their kids grew from babies to toddlers to young children, forever being loved by Marley. The love of a dog is an incomprehensible emotion. It can never be described to someone who hasn't experienced it, but this book came pretty close. I literally laughed, cried, and cringed through all of their life experiences. It was like an adorable emotional roller coaster.
