Jurassic Park By: Michael Crichton

Holy wow, INTENSE! This book was non-stop action and suspense. Even though I have never seen the movie, this book is a classic. I cannot get over how mind-blowingly amazing it was. I love how it jumps from nerdy genetic engineering to slashing people open and T-rex eating people in the matter of a page. Talk about having a racing heart! Obviously (or maybe not so obviously) the book was a bout a billionaire who loved dinosaurs and decided to invest his money into making a 'real life' dinosaur amusement park. When backers realized the dangers they wanted to see the island to ensure safety. Naturally, when they get there, everything goes wrong. On top of that, raptors are unknowingly on a ship to the mainland AND it turns out they, along with several other species are breeding. Michael Crichton really layered on the intensity. There is one portion of the book where people are dying left and right. Luckily it wasn't any of my favorites...
