Title: Boy Meets Witch
Author: G.A. Rael
Hosted by: Ultimate Fantasy Book Tours
Harper Adams is a witch on the run--from her past as a faith healer turned accidental arsonist, and from the power she's kept locked away her whole life. She thinks she's finally found a place she can settle down and call home in the picturesque town of Cold Creek, Vermont, but a mysterious white cat who may or may not be bent on taking the curvaceous witch's soul has other plans. Harper's compassion gets the best of her and earns her an unwanted reputation as the town miracle worker as well as the ire of sexy veterinarian and militant atheist, Darren St. Clair.
Cold Creek's residents have a few supernatural secrets of their own, and Harper will have to face the destiny that led her to the last place a witch in hiding needs to be--that is, if Darren doesn't have her chased out of town with a pitchfork-wielding mob before she gets the chance.
I'm a practicing witch and author of paranormal romance, fantasy and magical realism. I'm also a firm believer that the things that go bump in the night deserve their happily ever afters, too!
When I'm not writing, you can find me watching campy horror films with my husband and our menagerie and hiking in the woods in beautiful New England!

1. How did you get started in writing?
I have a hard time remembering a time when I wasn't writing. It's just something that's always been a huge part of my life. I was homeschooled and didn't have a computer or cable until I was a teenager, so it was pretty much my only form of entertainment besides reading!
2. Who is your favorite character?
As much as I don't like to play favorites, Locke is definitely my favorite character to write for. As for characters in general, I may or may not be mildly obsessed with James Moriarty. Gotta love a compelling villain who can wear a suit!
3. Who is your favorite author?
I know it's cheating, but I could only narrow it down to H.P. Mallory, Charlaine Harris and H.M. Ward.
4. When do you usually write?
Early morning and super late at night are the best times since it's quiet, but I'll write all day, every day if I can!
5. Do you listen to music while writing? If so what?
I actually have playlists for different characters/couples. For The White Cat Chronicles, I listen to a strange mix of oldies, rock and alternative. The Animals, Glass Animals, AWOLNATION, Volbeat, Imagine Dragons. Anything with esoteric themes or references to mythology is a plus!
6. What books have most influenced your life?
I'd say Les Miserables and The Crucible had the biggest impact on me personally, but as far as writing goes, I take in inspiration from everything from Stephen King to religious texts. You never know when something completely random is going to pop up and inspire a story.
7. What are you passionate about these days?
Writing. The older I get, the more I do it, the more my passion for writing grows. There's so much opportunity to use words to inspire people, to give representation where it's lacking, and to exchange ideas. I'm also passionate about lgbt representation in fiction and empowering other authors to create diversity where it's lacking through the freedom that comes with self-publishing.
