I am not sure how I feel about this book. It was originally published as a memoir but it came out that there were a significant number of inaccuracies. The plot of the book is about James Frey at age 23 where he is a crack addict, alcoholic, and a criminal wanted in 3 states. One morning he wakes up on a plane with no recollection of the past few days, no front teeth, and a hole in his cheek. His parents were waiting for him at the airport where they took him to rehab. His story of healing, physically , mentally, and emotionally is one to be reckoned with. His acknowledgment of mental illness being a disease is inspiring, especially when it comes from someone who is 23.
